About Me

My name is Ben and I’m on a mission to understand and innovate people-environment issues across the globe. Living in a world that is accelerating and globalizing at an astronomical pace, I believe our understanding and ability to adapt has been left behind, especially via design and our built environments.

I’ve recently graduated from my Bachelor of Architecture at the University of Queensland. I’m eager to better understand our social and built environments by generating a positive impact in people through spatial design.

I am the current president of AIESEC at The University of Queensland. AIESEC is a global youth network that develops entrepreneurial leadership through professional and volunteer exchange. As president in 2015, I am shaping a direction for our organization and shaping the future young leaders in an executive team.

At the core of my passions rests volunteering and overseas working exchange experiences. I’ve recently spent 6 months living in Japan pursuing architecture, volunteering in aid relief for disaster-affected Children, another few months in Taiwan teaching English and culture to primary school children and also locally, volunteering as a mentor in a G20 cultural workshop to re-envision and design Brisbane for 2050. I truly value my volunteer experiences, especially abroad and am always willing to drive volunteering in myself and others further.
